ELDERLY DECLUTTER TERMS
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all decluttering, organizing, and related services (“Services”) provided by Elderly Cleaning Services (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By scheduling or receiving our Services, the client (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to these Terms.
Please read this document carefully, as it outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and limitations associated with our work.
2. Nature of Services
Our Services include, but are not limited to:
- Decluttering personal and household items
- Organizing spaces for improved functionality
- Assisting with sorting, categorizing, and decision-making
- Recommending storage systems or organizational tools
We do not offer cleaning services unless they have been arranged in advance and confirmed with the Company at an additional cost., We do not Hauling, or Remove Hazardous Materials.
3. Client Responsibility
To ensure a smooth and efficient experience, the Client agrees to:
- Provide safe, accessible working conditions.
- Participate in decision-making regarding what to keep, donate, or discard.
- Be present during sessions unless prior arrangements are made in writing.
- Inform the Company of any health concerns, sensitivities, or special circumstances that may affect the session.
The Client is solely responsible for final decisions relating to item disposal or retention.
4. Disposal, Donation & Removal
We may assist in:
- Bagging or boxing items for donation or disposal
- Coordinating donation drop-offs (if included in the service package)
However:
- We do not remove large furniture, appliances, or hazardous waste.
- The Client retains all legal responsibility for any items they choose to dispose of.
5. Confidentiality & Privacy
We respect your privacy.
All information, conversations, and observations during the course of our Services are kept strictly confidential. Photos will only be taken, used, or shared (before/after images) with your written consent.
6. Payment & Fees
- Payment is due as outlined in your service agreement or invoice.
- Deposits may be required to secure appointments.
- Missed or canceled appointments without at least 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee of 50%.of total cost for service.
- Additional fees may apply for travel beyond standard service areas, excessive clutter, or unforeseen conditions.
7. Safety & Limitations
For safety reasons, the Company will not:
- Move heavy furniture that requires more than one person
- Climb ladders above standard step stools
- Handle bio-hazards, mold, pests, or unsanitary materials
- Work in environments deemed unsafe, unstable, or hazardous
If unsafe conditions are discovered, the session may be paused or terminated at the Company’s discretion.
8. Results Disclaimer
Decluttering results vary based on the Client’s participation, decisions, and follow-through.
The Company cannot guarantee:
- A specific outcome
- That the Client will maintain the space as organized
- That decluttering will improve mental, emotional, or physical health
Our role is to provide guidance, support, and hands-on assistance, not legal, psychological, or medical advice.
9. Liability
The Client understands and agrees that:
- The Company is not responsible for accidental loss, damage, or misplacement of items during the Service unless caused by gross negligence.
- The Client is encouraged to check all items before donation or disposal.
- The Company is not liable for emotional distress or dissatisfaction related to decisions made during the decluttering process.
The maximum liability of the Company shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the Services rendered.
10. Cancellation & Rescheduling
We understand that plans change.
Clients may reschedule or cancel sessions with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may result in a fee up to 50% of the session cost.
11. Photography
With your permission, we may take before-and-after photos for documentation and marketing purposes.
No images will be shared publicly without your signed consent.
12. Not a Cleaning Service
Decluttering and organizing are not the same as cleaning.
While surfaces may be wiped or dusted, when necessary, deeper cleaning (e.g., scrubbing floors, washing dishes, trash removal) is not included unless explicitly added as a separate service.
13. Termination of Services
The Company reserves the right to terminate services if:
- Unsafe or inappropriate behavior occurs
- The environment presents a health or safety risk
- The Client is uncooperative or violates these Terms
No refunds will be issued for completed work.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling or accepting Services with [Your Business Name], the Client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
